Senior full-stack engineer in Istanbul. For 12+ years I've designed and run production systems: async Python and TypeScript backends, PostgreSQL schemas, real-time event flows and the Next.js/React products on top of them. Today all of it goes into one thing: [lodos.md](https://samye.li/lodos/), the company that runs itself.
Istanbul · 12+ years in production · Sailing since 2002

# lodos.md: The company that runs itself
> lodos.md is an AI team that runs your company end to end. You make the decisions; nobody else can see your data.
Source: https://samye.li/lodos/
An AI team that learns your company and works across every department: customers, sales, marketing, operations, finance. The work happens in your own tools. Money, publishing and critical decisions come to you. And nobody else, not even us, can see your data.
[lodos.md →](https://lodos.md/)
## The problem
A small company's work lives in eight different places, and only the founder carries the context. Every AI tool knows one department; none of them knows the company. A single refund decision needs the customer, the order, the stock, the policy and the money, all together.
A typical morning without Lodos.md is **43 notifications**. With it, it's **3 decisions**: approve the refund, send the supplier order, start the ad budget. The team handles the rest.
## Three things, together
Running a company end to end takes three things. Each exists on its own in the market; all three together don't.
- **A brain that knows the company**: decisions, policies, customers, orders, history. Versioned line by line; the founder can read and correct it.
- **Hands that work in real systems**: refunds, stock sync, customer replies, publishing, pull requests. Every action is verified at the source and reversible.
- **Governance that knows who can do what**: which AI, on which account, doing which job, with how much autonomy. Critical steps wait for approval; everything is logged.
## Lodos Brain
Memory is a wiki: pages and links the founder can read and edit, instead of a hidden summary. Every note has a date and context, every conversation teaches it, and stale information is set apart from current facts. Instructions hidden in outside content can't write into it. It lives on your device and works with any model. Models change; the brain stays.
## One app, eight tools, one brain
- **Integrations**: Shopify, Amazon and 129 systems where agents actually do the work
- **Vault**: an encrypted vault like 1Password; the AI uses a key without ever seeing its value
- **Chat**: a group chat with your cofounder AI and the agent team
- **Kanban**: tasks the agents pick up, closed through GitHub
- **Calendar**: a full calendar plus publishing to 20+ social platforms
- **Wiki**: where Lodos Brain lives, linked like Obsidian and self-updating
- **Workflows**: automation like Zapier or n8n, set up by describing it in chat
- **Engage**: WhatsApp, Instagram and Gmail in one inbox, answered by an AI that knows the order
## You set the autonomy
Each agent has a level (observer, preparer, executor, autonomous), and each kind of action (reading, replying to customers, publishing, money, deleting) can be off, ask first, or run without asking. Three things are never left to the AI: granting permissions, raising its own autonomy, and declaring a job "done".
## Not even we can see it
Your keys stay with you. You see the secret; the AI sees only its name (`{{secrets.stripe.key}}`); Lodos.md sees encrypted bytes. It's local-first, cloud backup is optional and end-to-end encrypted, and there is zero telemetry. 175 security rules are checked on every build. If one breaks, the release doesn't ship. Every action goes into a signed log, so tampering is detected.
Teams get the same model: Signal-style end-to-end encryption per member, and an agent can never see what its member can't.
## Why I'm building it
A small company's growth shouldn't depend on its founder working more hours. AI should run the work; the founder should set the direction and keep control.
While growing gazla.co into a community of 50,000+ people, I kept hitting the same wall: messages, events, content and partners all lived in separate systems, and I was the only one holding the context together. In February 2026 I left my job in the US, paused gazla.co, and put all my time into this problem, without outside investment.
I wrote about the architecture behind it in a series on [security by construction](https://samye.li/security-by-construction/): [Workflow Engine Without n8n's CVE](https://lodos.md/en/blog/workflow-engine-cant-have-n8n-cve), [Zero-Knowledge as Architectural Blindness](https://lodos.md/en/blog/zero-knowledge-architectural-blindness) and [Stop Defending Your Moat with Policy](https://lodos.md/en/blog/make-your-moat-a-ratchet).
## Where it is now
Built by one founder in five months, with Lodos.md's own AI. Around 5,000 automated tests, 129 integrations, and 1,200+ people on the waitlist. Currently in closed beta, with live validation running alongside design partners.

# Uses: The tools I build with
> The hardware, editors, languages, infrastructure and AI tools Samet Samyeli uses to build lodos.md and this site.
Source: https://samye.li/uses/
Updated: 2026-11-07
The tools I use every day, and why. Most of them are boring on purpose: I would rather spend my attention on the work than on the setup.
## Machine
- **MacBook Air**: one machine for everything, from lodos.md to this site. Light enough to come along to the sailing club.
## Editor and terminal
- **VS Code**: where the code gets written and read.
- **Claude Code**: AI pair programming in the terminal, for refactors, reviews and the chores that would otherwise eat an afternoon.
- **zsh**, with **fnm** for Node versions and **pnpm** for packages.
- **Homebrew** for everything else, and **gh** for GitHub from the terminal.
## Stack
- **TypeScript**, **Next.js** and **React** for products.
- **Python** (async) for services and workers.
- **PostgreSQL** with **Prisma** on servers; **SQLite** where the data lives on the user's own device, as it does in lodos.md.
- **Astro** for this site.
## Infrastructure
- **Cloudflare Pages** for this site: static files, deployed by GitHub Actions once every check passes.
- **Hetzner** servers running **Coolify**, behind **Cloudflare**, for lodos.md.
- **Docker** images, built the same way everywhere.
- **GitHub** for code and reviews, **GitHub Actions** for the checks that run before anything ships.
## Notes and writing
- **Obsidian** and plain **Markdown** for my own notes; the lodos.md wiki for what the company knows.
- Essays go up on the [lodos.md blog](https://lodos.md/en/blog), and shorter things here.
## AI
- **Claude Code**, above.
- **lodos.md's own agents**: lodos.md is built with its own AI team, through the same propose-and-approve loop it gives its users. Nothing an agent writes becomes canonical until I approve the diff.

# Beliefs: What I believe about building software and companies
> Samet Samyeli's principles on software architecture, security, performance and AI, each linked to the writing behind it.
Source: https://samye.li/beliefs/
These are the ideas I build by. Each one comes from something I shipped, and links to where I wrote about it.
## Architecture and security
The essays behind these four are collected in [security by construction](https://samye.li/security-by-construction/).
1. **Enforce it in the system, not in a policy.** A rule that lives in a document gets forgotten under pressure. If something must never happen, build the system so it refuses. ([Stop Defending Your Moat with Policy](https://lodos.md/en/blog/make-your-moat-a-ratchet))
2. **"We cannot" beats "we promise".** Zero-knowledge is architecture, not a privacy policy: design the schema so the operator cannot see what it should not, instead of promising not to look. ([Zero-Knowledge as Architectural Blindness](https://lodos.md/en/blog/zero-knowledge-architectural-blindness))
3. **The safest hole is the one that isn't there.** Locking a dangerous capability better is weaker than not having it at all. ([We Built a Workflow Engine That Can't Have n8n's CVE](https://lodos.md/en/blog/workflow-engine-cant-have-n8n-cve))
4. **Security is a build step.** In lodos.md, 175 security rules run on every build; if one breaks, the release does not ship. ([lodos.md](https://samye.li/lodos/))
## Performance
5. **Measure, don't guess.** The first instinct about what is slow is usually wrong. Running NFS World in the browser, the GPU was not the bottleneck; the game's own thread was. ([NFS World in the Browser](https://samye.li/blog/nfs-world-in-the-browser-performance/))
6. **Set the bar in numbers, and name what you won't trade.** "Never below 60 fps, aim for 144", with graphics kept 1:1 with the original: a target you can measure and a constraint you don't give up to hit it. ([NFS World in the Browser](https://samye.li/blog/nfs-world-in-the-browser-performance/))
## AI and companies
7. **AI should run the work; the founder sets the direction.** A small company's growth shouldn't depend on its founder working more hours. ([lodos.md](https://samye.li/lodos/))
8. **Some decisions never go to the AI.** Granting permissions, raising its own autonomy and declaring a job "done" stay with people. ([lodos.md](https://samye.li/lodos/))
9. **Memory you can read beats memory you have to trust.** What an AI knows about a company should be pages a person can read and correct, not a hidden summary. ([lodos.md](https://samye.li/lodos/))
10. **Your data stays yours.** Local-first, end-to-end encrypted and without telemetry, so the vendor, us included, cannot see it. ([lodos.md](https://samye.li/lodos/))

# Colophon: How this site is built
> How samye.li is built: Astro, a brand drawn in code, two languages, pages written for people and for machines, and a build that checks itself.
Source: https://samye.li/colophon/
A personal site should be fast, readable, and honest about how it is made. This page is the honest part.
samye.li is a static site, built from Markdown and a few TypeScript files: no database, no tracking, nothing that runs on a server when you read it. The source is [on GitHub](https://github.com/RSametSamyeli/samye.li).
## Stack
- **[Astro](https://astro.build)** with Markdown and MDX content collections, **UnoCSS**, and Vercel's **Geist** and **Geist Mono** typefaces.
- Started from the [AntfuStyle](https://github.com/lin-stephanie/astro-antfustyle-theme) theme by Stephanie Lin, then trimmed and rebuilt.
- Static files on **Cloudflare Pages**, served from Cloudflare's network. A push to `main` goes live only after CI passes: formatting, lint, types, the build, and a check of every page's links, metadata and response headers.
## Design
- Dark by default, with a light theme a click away.
- The mark, an "s" with the accent dot of samye**.**li, is drawn in code. The favicon, the app icons and every share card are generated from it at build time with Satori.
- Secondary text uses a colour measured for contrast in both themes (WCAG AA), checked with axe on every page type.
## For machines
- Every page has a plain Markdown copy, named in its `
` and in a `Link` header for clients that look for `text/markdown`. [llms.txt](https://samye.li/llms.txt) and [llms-full.txt](https://samye.li/llms-full.txt) describe the whole site.
- Linked JSON-LD (Person, ProfilePage, BlogPosting, breadcrumbs), English and Turkish pages paired with hreflang, a sitemap with last-change dates, and IndexNow pings after each deploy.
- robots.txt welcomes search engines, answer engines and training.
## Checks
- CI runs formatting, lint, type checks and the build, then a script that reads the built site: titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, share images, structured data, internal links, hreflang pairs, the sitemap and the house style.
- A Content Security Policy and other security headers on every response, and a [security.txt](https://samye.li/.well-known/security.txt) for reporting issues.
## Privacy
- No cookies and no third-party trackers. A video loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain only when you press play.

# Security by construction: Building software where the unsafe thing cannot happen
> Samet Samyeli's essays on security by construction: a workflow engine without an evaluator, a vault the AI cannot read, and build-time checks that keep it that way.
Source: https://samye.li/security-by-construction/
Updated: 2026-11-07
Most software is secured by promises: a policy that says secrets are never logged, a review that checks nobody added `eval`. Promises hold until a late-night refactor. Security by construction means building the system so the unsafe thing cannot happen at all, and making the build prove it on every commit.
This is the idea behind [lodos.md](https://samye.li/lodos/), and a series of essays on how it works in practice. They are published on the lodos.md blog.
## The series
1. **[We Built a Workflow Engine That Can't Have n8n's CVE](https://lodos.md/en/blog/workflow-engine-cant-have-n8n-cve)** (1/5). n8n's CVE-2025-68613 was a CVSS 9.9 remote code execution through expression evaluation. The lodos workflow engine has no expression evaluator anywhere, so that class of bug cannot exist; a grep in the build keeps it that way.
2. **[Zero-Knowledge as Architectural Blindness](https://lodos.md/en/blog/zero-knowledge-architectural-blindness)** (2/5). The AI cannot see your Stripe live key: no database column, IPC method or tool returns a plaintext secret. "Cannot" is a property of the schema, not a promise.
3. **[Stop Defending Your Moat with Policy](https://lodos.md/en/blog/make-your-moat-a-ratchet)** (3/5). Two checks run on every commit: one fails the build if a refused capability comes back, the other fails the wiki if a lesson is lost. Both are sealed in a tamper-evident HMAC chain.
4. **Coming next** (4/5): the propose-only learning loop, where the agent suggests changes to its own skills and nothing becomes canonical until a person approves the diff.
## Around it
- **[Why we built a zero-knowledge company OS](https://lodos.md/en/blog/the-zero-knowledge-company-os)**: why lodos keeps a company's data on its own machine and cannot read a byte of it.
- **[How your AI uses your Stripe key without ever seeing it](https://lodos.md/en/blog/ai-that-cant-read-your-secrets)**: the runtime secret-injection pattern behind the vault.
- **[Local-first software](https://lodos.md/en/blog/local-first-software-own-your-data)**: why your company's data belongs on your machine.
- **[A wiki that maintains itself](https://lodos.md/en/blog/self-maintaining-wiki-karpathy-pattern)**: the Karpathy LLM-wiki pattern, with lint and an audit chain.
## The principles
The rules this series keeps coming back to are on [beliefs](https://samye.li/beliefs/): enforce it in the system, not in a policy; "we cannot" beats "we promise"; the safest hole is the one that isn't there; and security is a build step.

# Community: People building things together
> Samet Samyeli's community work: co-founding the Open Software Network (AYA) after the 2023 Türkiye earthquakes, AfetHarita and deprem.io, gazla.co, and open source.
Source: https://samye.li/community/
Some of the work I am proudest of was never a product. It was people, many of them strangers, building something together because it needed to exist that week.
## Open Software Network (AYA)
On 6 February 2023, two earthquakes, of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6, struck southern Türkiye within hours of each other and shook ten provinces. Calls for help started pouring onto social media from under the rubble, with addresses, names and floor numbers, faster than anyone could read them. The answer started on Twitter too. My friends [Eser Özvataf](https://eser.dev/) and [Furkan Kılıç](https://x.com/benfurkankilic) posted a call for developers that night, and when I saw their tweets I went straight into the Discord server and got to work. So did my friend [Eray Gündoğmuş](https://eraygundogmus.com/), and thousands of others. Within days that server was the **Open Software Network (AYA)**, and I became one of its founders: a channel for every discipline, an owner for every project, a way to ship. It grew to **25,000+ volunteer developers**.
### AfetHarita: from a tweet to a point on the map
A call for help on Twitter was a sentence: a name, a street, a floor, "we can hear voices". Thousands of them, buried under retweets and screenshots. **[AfetHarita](https://afetharita.com)** read them, pulled the address out (OCR for the screenshots, a language model for the text) and put each one on a map as a point a rescue team could drive to. It was live about **30 hours after the first earthquake**. **AFAD**, Türkiye's disaster and emergency agency, used it.
AfetHarita in February 2023: calls for help as clusters and heat, with hospitals, shelters and hot-meal points layered on top.
It was built for the conditions it was used in:
- **Phones on a broken network.** Mobile first, tuned for 2G and 3G. The map is [Leaflet](https://leafletjs.com/), 42 KB and open source, instead of a heavy map SDK. Nearby points merge into numbered clusters and dense areas turn into a heatmap, so a phone never has to draw ten thousand pins.
- **More than calls for help.** Institutions sent their data and it became layers: Ahbap locations, hospitals, hot-meal points. Then satellite and terrain views, filters by source and time, and English.
- **A backend that would not fall over.** The first version was rewritten in Go, in containers, with deploys across more than one cloud.
- **Shipped like a product, under pressure.** Separate main, release-candidate and development branches, a preview build for every pull request, templates for issues and PRs, and a triage team that checked every report before it went in.
The month in traffic: nothing, then 627,000 people.
In its first month the site had **627,000 unique visitors and 34 million requests**. [AKUT](https://www.akut.org.tr/), the volunteer search-and-rescue association, brought the data into its own incident management. The launch announcement was seen 4.2 million times. Copies of the map followed people abroad, to Berlin, London and the Netherlands, to show where donations could be dropped off, and news sites embedded it on their pages. Beyond [TIME](https://time.com/6254500/turkey-earthquake-twitter-musk-rescue/) and [NBC San Diego](https://www.nbcsandiego.com/video/news/local/rancho-penasquitos-man-working-with-thousands-online-to-help-turkey-earthquake-victims/3170373/), it was covered by Wired, Euronews and Yahoo.
When the emergency was over, the data went too: the personal information was deleted under KVKK, Türkiye's data protection law, and the address now points to [afet.org](https://afet.org). The code is open at [github.com/acikyazilimagi](https://github.com/acikyazilimagi), so the next team facing a disaster does not start from zero.
Eray, who led AfetHarita's frontend, wrote the whole story in Turkish, from the first commit to the last deploy: [How afetharita.com helped thousands of earthquake survivors](https://gundogmuseray.medium.com/afetharita-com-binlerce-depremzedeye-nas%C4%B1l-yard%C4%B1m-etti-f3ec0cd4adbe).
### deprem.io
**[deprem.io](https://deprem.io)**, built by the same network, coordinated relief: who needed what, and who could bring it.
### What it taught me
In a crisis, the bottleneck is rarely code. It is coordination: knowing who owns what, deciding fast, and getting something that works to the people who need it today rather than something perfect next week.
## gazla.co
I founded **[gazla.co](https://gazla.co)** as a place for founders to find each other. It grew to **50,000+ people and 280+ startups**, without any outside funding.
Running it meant events, messages, content and partners in a dozen different tools, with all the context in one head: mine. That problem is the one [lodos.md](https://samye.li/lodos/) now solves. gazla.co is paused while I build it, and the community is still there.
## Open source
- **[OHIF](https://ohif.org/)**: a viewport-aware grayscale tool for the open-source medical imaging viewer that hospitals build on.
- **[Need for Speed Underground 2 in the browser](https://github.com/th0mk/nfsu2-web)**, live at [nfsu2.xyz](https://nfsu2.xyz): I contribute to it regularly and keep an eye on the repository. The Turkish translation is mine, all 3,918 of the game's texts by hand, and so is the change that opens the game in the reader's own language.
- **[This site](https://github.com/RSametSamyeli/samye.li)**: its source is open, from the build checks to the markdown mirrors. How it is made is on the [colophon](https://samye.li/colophon/).

# Into the wind: Sailing, water, mountains and sky
> Samet Samyeli's life with the wind: sailing since 2002 at Eğirdir Sailing Club, Optimist then ILCA, Mediterranean ILCA champion with 13 medals; windsurfing, diving, mountaineering, paragliding and the open road.
Source: https://samye.li/outdoors/
Most places know me as Rüzgar Samet Samyeli. Rüzgar, Turkish for wind, is not actually my name, but it has stuck so well that I can no longer separate myself from it. My surname really is a wind: Samyeli, the sam yeli, the hot wind off the desert, Scirocco in Italian. And the first sailing boat I ever stepped into, at six, on Lake Eğirdir, was called Rüzgar. Looking back, it was all settled then. I have been following the wind ever since: under sail, then under the surface, on mountains and, lately, in the sky. Years later I named my company after a wind too: Lodos, the warm southwesterly that blows across Türkiye. Most of what I know about patience, decisions and mistakes, the wind taught me.
Lily, my English cocker, and my dear nephew Aybars. We lost Lily in a car accident; this is the best autumn she left us.
- **Sailing since:** 2002, aged six
- **Club:** Eğirdir Sailing Club, Lake Eğirdir, Isparta
- **Classes:** Optimist, then ILCA (the Laser)
- **Best result:** Mediterranean ILCA champion
- **Medals:** 13 medals and 2 cups
## Sailing
In the ILCA, heeled over and hiking out.
I started in 2002 at the **Eğirdir Sailing Club**, on Lake Eğirdir, one of the largest lakes in Türkiye. Like almost every racer, I began in the **Optimist**: a small, square-bowed boat, one child and one sail. From there I moved up to **ILCA**, the Laser, the single-handed Olympic dinghy. In an ILCA you are alone with the wind. There is no crew to share a mistake with, and no one to blame for a bad start but yourself.
I became **Mediterranean ILCA champion**, and over my racing years I collected **13 medals and 2 cups**.
What racing taught me, and still does:
- **See the wind before it reaches you.** A gust shows on the water as a dark patch a few seconds ahead. Whoever reads it first gets there first.
- **A race is a hundred small decisions.** You rarely win with one brilliant move; you win by making fewer mistakes than everyone else.
- **Capsizing is part of it.** Everyone ends up in the water. What sets people apart is how fast they get back on the boat.
## On the water
Scuba diving: sun above, quiet below.
If it happens on water, I do it. **Windsurfing** is the same wind on a different board, with nothing between you and the sail but your hands. **Canoeing** is the slow way across. **Swimming** is where all of it starts. And **scuba diving** is the opposite of a race: quiet, slow and entirely about breathing.
## Mountains and sky
Take-off: the wing is full, and the wind is blowing up the slope.
On land, it is **mountaineering** and **camping**: long climbs, nights in a tent, mornings that start before the sun. In the air, it is **paragliding**. After years of reading the wind from the water, reading it from above is strange and wonderful: a thermal does what a gust does on a lake. And there is **skiing**, where I am still a beginner, which is a good thing to be now and then.
## The road
Late afternoon, an empty road.
And there is a **cruiser** motorcycle. It is not a powerful machine, and I did not buy it for speed, but it looks like me. Anyone who has seen my [music](https://samye.li/music/) knows the type: a round headlamp, a low seat, an empty road at sundown and a classic rock song inside the helmet. The wind is in my face here too, just without a sail.
## Hunting
A foggy morning out hunting.
I am a **licensed hunter**, for hare and game birds. The licence comes with rules, seasons and limits, and with them a habit of reading the land, the weather and the animals that live there, much as sailing does with wind and water.
I learned to hunt from my father. My father is a fisherman at heart, and all his life he has hunted on land and on the water. He is the one who taught me to wait, to stay quiet and to watch for the light. My favourite mornings out are still the ones at his side.
With my dear dad and Lily, on a snowy morning out hunting.
I do the same thing at a desk: read the wind, then make the next small decision.

# Music: Rock, Anatolian rock and the new psychedelia
> What Samet Samyeli listens to: 225 tracks in three Spotify playlists, from Queen, AC/DC and Metallica to Cem Karaca, Erkin Koray and new Anatolian psychedelia.

Rock, above all. The classics, from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to Queen, AC/DC and Black Sabbath; the blues of Eric Clapton's guitar; and the heavier side, from Metallica to Motörhead. # Reading: Philosophy, strategy and entrepreneurship
> Samet Samyeli's reading list: the Stoics, Robert Greene and Sun Tzu on strategy, Peterson, Frankl, Kahneman and Taleb on the mind, and the books on entrepreneurship.
Source: https://samye.li/reading/
Not much fiction: mostly philosophy, strategy and how companies get built. These are the books I have read, shelf by shelf, each with a line on what it is about.
## The Stoics
How to keep your own mind: duty, death, fear, and what is in our control.
- **Meditations**, Marcus Aurelius. A Roman emperor's private notes to himself on duty, death and keeping his own mind.
- **Letters from a Stoic**, Seneca. Letters to a friend on time, fear, wealth, friendship and how to live.
- **On the Shortness of Life**, Seneca. Life is not short; we waste most of it.
- **Enchiridion**, Epictetus. The handbook: what is up to us, and what is not.
- **Discourses**, Epictetus. A former slave's lessons on the freedom no one can take from you.
- **The Obstacle Is the Way**, Ryan Holiday. Stoicism in practice: turning what stands in the way into the way.
- **Ego Is the Enemy**, Ryan Holiday. How ego gets in the way when you aspire, when you succeed and when you fail.
## Strategy, power and war
Power, war and mastery: how people actually win, from Sun Tzu to Robert Greene.
- **The Art of War**, Sun Tzu. Win before the battle: knowing yourself, the enemy and the ground.
- **The 48 Laws of Power**, Robert Greene. Three thousand years of power, distilled into forty-eight laws and the stories behind them.
- **The 33 Strategies of War**, Robert Greene. Military strategy, from Napoleon to guerrilla warfare, read as a guide to everyday conflict.
- **Mastery**, Robert Greene. How masters in every field got there: apprenticeship, mentors, and years of deliberate work.
- **The Laws of Human Nature**, Robert Greene. Reading people, and yourself: envy, grandiosity, the pull of the group.
- **The Prince**, Niccolò Machiavelli. How power is won and kept, as it is rather than as it should be.
- **The Book of Five Rings**, Miyamoto Musashi. A duellist's treatise on strategy, timing and mastering one way thoroughly.
- **On War**, Carl von Clausewitz. War as the continuation of politics, and why plans meet friction.
## Meaning, mind and decisions
How we think, decide and find meaning, and how to come out of chaos stronger.
- **12 Rules for Life**, Jordan B. Peterson. Order against chaos: responsibility as the source of meaning.
- **Beyond Order**, Jordan B. Peterson. The companion: when order turns rigid, and how to bring life back into it.
- **Man's Search for Meaning**, Viktor E. Frankl. A psychiatrist who survived the camps, on meaning as what keeps a person going.
- **Thinking, Fast and Slow**, Daniel Kahneman. The two systems of thought, and the biases between them.
- **Antifragile**, Nassim Nicholas Taleb. Things that gain from disorder, and how to build them.
- **The Black Swan**, Nassim Nicholas Taleb. Rare, unpredictable events that end up explaining most of history.
## Entrepreneurship
How companies get built, run and kept alive, told by the people who built them.
- **Zero to One**, Peter Thiel. Build something new instead of copying what exists; the case for the monopoly.
- **The Hard Thing About Hard Things**, Ben Horowitz. Running a company when there is no recipe: layoffs, crises, the struggle.
- **The Lean Startup**, Eric Ries. Build, measure, learn: validated learning instead of long plans.
- **High Output Management**, Andrew S. Grove. Management as production: leverage, meetings, one-on-ones and output.
- **The Innovator's Dilemma**, Clayton M. Christensen. Why well-run companies lose to cheaper, simpler newcomers.
- **Good to Great**, Jim Collins. What the companies that made the leap had in common.
- **Shoe Dog**, Phil Knight. Nike's founder on the years when the company almost didn't make it.
- **Steve Jobs**, Walter Isaacson. The biography written with Jobs's cooperation, flaws included.
- **Elon Musk**, Walter Isaacson. Two years alongside Musk, from Tesla and SpaceX to X.

# lodos.md: Kendi kendini yöneten şirket
> lodos.md, şirketinizi uçtan uca yöneten bir yapay zekâ ekibi. Kararları siz verirsiniz; verilerinizi sizden başka kimse göremez.
Source: https://samye.li/tr/lodos/
Şirketinizi öğrenen ve her departmanda çalışan bir yapay zekâ ekibi: müşteriler, satış, pazarlama, operasyon, finans. İş, sizin kendi araçlarınızda yapılır. Para, yayın ve kritik kararlar size gelir. Verilerinizi ise biz dahil kimse göremez.
[lodos.md →](https://lodos.md/)
## Sorun
Önce yerelde çalışır (local-first), bulut yedeği isteğe bağlıdır ve uçtan uca şifrelidir, telemetri sıfırdır.
## Şu an nerede

## Makine

([n8n'in CVE'sine Sahip Olamayan Bir Workflow Motoru](https://lodos.md/tr/blog/n8n-cve-alamayan-workflow-motoru))
([lodos.md](https://samye.li/tr/lodos/))
## Performans
5. **Tahmin etmeyin, ölçün.** Neyin yavaş olduğuna dair ilk sezgi genelde yanlıştır. NFS World'ü tarayıcıda çalıştırırken darboğaz GPU değil, oyunun kendi iş parçacığıydı. ([NFS World in the Browser](https://samye.li/blog/nfs-world-in-the-browser-performance/))
([NFS World in the Browser](https://samye.li/blog/nfs-world-in-the-browser-performance/))
## Yapay zekâ ve şirketler

Source: https://samye.li/tr/colophon/
## Teknoloji
- Markdown ve MDX içerik koleksiyonlarıyla **[Astro](https://astro.build)**, **UnoCSS**, Vercel'in **Geist** ve **Geist Mono** yazı tipleri.
- Stephanie Lin'in [AntfuStyle](https://github.com/lin-stephanie/astro-antfustyle-theme) temasından başladı, sonra sadeleştirilip yeniden kuruldu.
- Statik dosyalar **Cloudflare Pages** üzerinde, Cloudflare'in ağından sunuluyor.
## Denetimler

Source: https://samye.li/tr/security-by-construction/
Updated: 2026-11-07
Çoğu yazılımın güvenliği sözlere dayanır: sırların asla loglanmadığını söyleyen bir politika, kimsenin `eval` eklemediğini kontrol eden bir kod incelemesi. Sözler, gece yarısı yapılan bir refactor'a kadar tutar. Yapısal güvenlik (security by construction), sistemi güvensiz şeyin hiç olamayacağı şekilde kurmak ve bunu her commit'te build'e kanıtlatmaktır.
[lodos.md](https://samye.li/tr/lodos/)'nin arkasındaki fikir bu. Aşağıdaki yazı dizisi bunun pratikte nasıl çalıştığını anlatıyor; yazılar lodos.md blogunda Türkçe olarak yayında.
## Yazı dizisi
1. **[n8n'in CVE'sine Sahip Olamayan Bir Workflow Motoru İnşa Ettik](https://lodos.md/tr/blog/n8n-cve-alamayan-workflow-motoru)** (1/5). n8n'in CVE-2025-68613 açığı, ifade değerlendirme (expression evaluation) üzerinden CVSS 9.9 puanlı bir uzaktan kod çalıştırmaydı. lodos'un workflow motorunda hiçbir yerde ifade değerlendirici yok; bu yüzden o sınıftan bir hata var olamaz, build'deki bir grep de bunu böyle tutuyor.

Source: https://samye.li/tr/community/
6 Şubat 2023'te Türkiye'nin güneyini saatler arayla 7,7 ve 7,6 büyüklüğünde iki deprem vurdu; on il yıkıldı. Enkaz altından yardım çağrıları, adresleri, isimleri ve kat numaralarıyla, kimsenin okuyamayacağı bir hızla sosyal medyaya akmaya başladı. Her şey Twitter'da başladı.
AfetHarita'nın frontend ekibini yöneten Eray, ilk commit'ten son deploy'a kadar bütün hikâyeyi yazdı: [afetharita.com binlerce depremzedeye nasıl yardım etti?](https://gundogmuseray.medium.com/afetharita-com-binlerce-depremzedeye-nas%C4%B1l-yard%C4%B1m-etti-f3ec0cd4adbe)
### deprem.io
- **[Need for Speed Underground 2 tarayıcıda](https://github.com/th0mk/nfsu2-web)**, [nfsu2.xyz](https://nfsu2.xyz) adresinde yayında: düzenli katkı veriyor, repoyu takip ediyorum.

Source: https://samye.li/tr/outdoors/
Her yerde Rüzgar Samet Samyeli diye geçiyorum. Aslında her şey o yaşta belli oldu.

Her şeyden önce rock. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin ve Pink Floyd'dan Queen, AC/DC ve Black Sabbath'a klasikler; Eric Clapton'ın gitarındaki blues; Metallica'dan Motörhead'e daha ağır taraf.

Source: https://samye.li/tr/reading/
- **Engel Yoldur**, Ryan Holiday.
- **The Book of Five Rings**, Miyamoto Musashi.
- **High Output Management**, Andrew S. Grove.
- **Shoe Dog**, Phil Knight. Nike'ın kurucusundan, şirketin neredeyse batacağı yılların hikâyesi.
- **Steve Jobs**, Walter Isaacson. Jobs'un katkısıyla, kusurlarıyla birlikte yazılmış biyografisi.
- **Elon Musk**, Walter Isaacson. Tesla ve SpaceX'ten X'e, Musk'ın yanında geçen iki yıl.
